A hardcore wrestling game · Forbidden Cheese Development
In a hidden city, behind doors no one will name, the fires never go out. There is no crowd. There is no mercy. There is only the Forge — and the champions who bleed in it.
§ 01 — The Forge
The Forbidden Forge sits in a hidden, forbidden city — tended for generations by people who never speak its name aloud. There are no fans in the seats. No cameras. No sanction. Only the heat of the forge, the iron of the ring, and whoever is still standing when the fire burns down.
This is hardcore, the way it was meant to be — the brawl spills out of the ring, and the ring keeps the blood.
§ 02 — See it move
Now playing — the FFW promo, scored with two of the original Forbidden Forge theme songs. More on the channel ↗
§ 03 — The Champions
Fourteen fighters answer the fire. Five are playable at launch — marked PLAYABLE. The rest arrive in free roster waves after. Hover for their creed — click any champion for the full dossier.
§ 04 — The Fight
Inspired by ECW and CZW. Two fighters, one AI, no rules worth mentioning. Win by pinfall — if you can hold them down.
Damage shows. Fighters bleed progressively as their health falls — a light trickle becomes a crimson mask, and the canvas keeps the stains. When a champion's drowning in red, you know it without checking a bar.
Fill the meter by dealing punishment, then end it. Remorse. The Big Drop. Quitting Time. Solitary Confinement. Every champion closes the show their own way.
Pins aren't automatic. A pendulum swings, a window opens — hit it to kick out. The lower your health, the tighter the window and the faster the swing. The three-count is a fight of its own.
The brawl doesn't respect the ropes. Throw them to the floor, take the fight to the stone, then crawl back inside to catch your breath. Rest inside, punish outside — that's the loop.
§ 05 — The Prize
Serpent-knot gold, green and amethyst set deep in the plate. There is exactly one, and the fire decides who wears it.
§ 06 — Back the Forge
I'm one person building this — no studio, no investors, just a solo dev with a lot of fire and a game I fully intend to finish. Every dollar goes straight back into the Forge. It won't buy me a coffee; it'll buy the game a faster road to your hands.
§ 07 — About the Developer
Forbidden Forge Wrestling is built by Bear — the whole of Forbidden Cheese Development, a one-person studio. No team, no publisher. Every wrestler, every line of code, every fire in the scene is made by hand, learning out loud as it goes.
FFW isn't the first trip to the workshop. Two more games are already up on itch.io — Bears Den and DangNearDucked — built the same way: by hand, self-taught, one lesson at a time.
